ReplyDeleteAny updates on Narrows Too or a second week in Maine?

DeleteMy wife Diane and I are new FMCA members and live in Hampton, VA. I’m originally from Brunswick, Maine and have gone up there just about every summer for a number of years. In fact, we are completing a month in the Maritimes of Canada and headed to Bar Harbor and then Brunswick on our way home. Unfortunately, a couple weeks before you guys get there. Couple suggestions for while you are in the Brunswick area: The Joshua Chamberland (20th Maine, Civil War) home is right in downtown Brunswick. If you are a Civil War history buff, you really should plan a visit. Also, if you have a Toad, I highly recommend you take a drive down into Harpswell and visit the Dolphin Marina and Restaurant. I grew up just a couple miles away and spent a lot of my time there when it was a small boatyard. It is now the home of a great marina and much better restaurant with incredible views of Casco Bay. If you go, I encourage you to have their fish chowder that comes with a homemade, fresh blueberry muffin. By far the best chowder I’ve ever had! We will be there next week for my annual fix. If there are any other questions about that part of Maine, including Bar Harbor where we took our trawler from Virginia almost every summer, please drop me an email at: tidetim@msn.com. Enjoy your caravan to Maine!
ReplyDeleteTim and Sheila Schwartz will also be at the Maine Rally. We had registered through Penn Group.
