On Wednesday evening (April 29th for you early arrivers) we are doing a potluck supper; Jean and I will bring fried chicken for all. Feel free to bring a side or dessert to go with it.  We are finalizing the meal plans and I think you’re going to like the brunch menu. Brunches for the next three days will be as follows:

Hello Dogwood! This is the second call for the upcoming Mr. B’s Bluegrass Spring Music Spectacular on 30 Apr – 2 May 2026. Like last year, it will be held at Mr. B’s Event Park in Woodford, VA – on the west side of old Route 1 just north of the Ladysmith exit off I-95. Ms. Billie Sue Goff (Event Director and good friend of the club) has set aside 10 spots for us – all together. If more sign up, that’s fine, you just might not be right next door to us. But that’s OK because the campground is easily crossed in minutes from wherever you get parked. The directions and signup sheet are below.

Jean and I are hosting again for the brunch. Like last year, music starts at noon and goes to 10:00 pm without a dinner break. We are putting together the brunch plans. At this point, on Wednesday evening, April 29th, (for you early arrivers) we will be doing a potluck supper; Jean and I will bring fried chicken for all. Feel free to bring a side or dessert to go with it.

Dogwood-Penn Coachmen Co-Rally in Luray VA

First Call for the Dogwood-Penn Coachmen Co-Rally August 10-14, 2026

Hey Dogwood and Penn Coachmen –

this is first call for signups to our upcoming co-rally.

  • Dates: August 10-14, 2026.
  • Place: Spacious Skies/Shenandoah Views Campground, Luray, Virginia.
  • 3402 Kimball Rd.
  • Luray, VA 22835
  • 540-743-7222

Spacious Skies/Shenandoah Views (https://spaciousskiescampgrounds.com/shenandoah-views/contact/) is about a mile from Luray Caverns right on Rt. 340 and is literally on top of a hill. You drive up a short hill to it and then on the flat top (kind of like a Mesa) there is the campground – a big square grassy plain in the middle with about 85 RV campsites around it – all with full hookups. No need for golf carts, the campground is flat as a pancake. We can easily walk from one site to the next or across the center plain. The campground is a mile from Luray Caverns and downtown Luray. Rather than a meeting hall, they have a Group Yurt –a  big tent with tables that can take up to 36 people, but no kitchen or sink furniture.  They do have an open pavilion that we can use as well. We will have to do our cooking in our own spaces, or have dinner catered. Plan on bringing chairs, folding tables and pop-up tents if you have them.

Your Hosts will be Jean & Ed Herbert (Dogwood, 540-760-4180) and Phyllis & Eric Britz (Penn Coachmen, 484-599-0609). We have 30 sites reserved for the rally and when you call to make the reservations (540-743-7222)  be sure to tell them you are part of the Dogwood-Penn Coachmen Co-rally. Prices range  $70-80/night  and we will get a 20 % discount off that for being a large group. The campground books up early so get your reservations in by 30 April, 2026, Note there will also be a $25/person Rally fee. Registration info is below, and details on meals and events to follow.
