The final touches for the Amish Country rally in Lancaster, PA are in the works, and your hosts, the Buelow’s, Cummings, and McFarlane’s are happy to announce that we have 17 RV’s (34 attendees), along with some great activities and meals planned. FUN, FOOD and FRIENDSHIP. In addition to planned activities, we will also have brochures in your goodie Bags for information on other interesting things to do and see in the area.

Dogwood Rally, Pennsylvania Amish Country Information
Lancaster, PA
June 8-11, 2023
Please join your Dogwood friends for an exciting and fun filled Dogwood rally at Lancaster, PA in the heart of the beautiful Amish country.
Hosts: Jim and Susan Buelow, Paul and Nancy Cummings, and David and Marla McFarlane.
Dates: Thursday June 8 through Sunday June 11. The rally will actually begin on Thursday, June 8th. We have added an additional day due to distance and additional time for planned activities. If you would like to come in earlier or stay later than the rally dates, just let the campground know when you make your reservations.

We have reserved 15 FHU sites, along with a pavilion close to the sites for meals and activities. Sites include wifi and cable. Cost per night is $64-67.00 with a 10% discount for over 10 coaches, or 10% discount for military or Good Sams.
You must make your own campground reservations. Call 717 299-2314 to reserve a site. Be sure to mention that you are with the Dogwood group. Cut-off date is May 8th, 2023.
Attendees as of April 11th are the Brinkleys, Buelows, Cummings, Herberts, McFarlanes, Mimms, Sohles, and Spiezios. We have 7 sites still open, come join us.
Rally Fees: Rally fees will be $20.00 per adult and $10.00 per child under 18. Costs include meals and pavilion rental. Registration Form attached.
Possible Activities: At this time, we have two definite activities planned as a group, a tour of the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum on Friday morning, and a dinner and show at the Bird in Hand Restaurant/Theater on Saturday evening. But there is much more to see and do in the area. Possibilities include but are not limited to: Amish Farm Tour, Model Train Museum, Strasburg Railroad Train Ride, Bird in Hand Village, Amish Buggy Manufacturing, PA History Museums, James Buchanan Museum, Hershey Factory Tour, Dutch Wonderland, local markets, shopping and more. We will have information and brochures available at the rally. And time permitting; we can always attend other activities as a group or on your own.

Thursday, June 8, 5:00 P.M. Welcome and heavy hors d’oeuvres. Please bring a dish to share.
Friday June 9, 10:00 A.M. Depart campground for tour of Pennsylvania Railroad Museum. Plan is to carpool for those attending tour. Tour cost is $9.00 for seniors. Pay as you enter.
Friday afternoon is free time to do as you wish, take other tours, shop or just relax with friends at the campground.
Friday, June 9, 5:00 P.M. Social hour with lights snacks provided by your hosts.
Friday, June 9, 6:00 P.M. Dinner and desert provided by your hosts. After dinner we will have a planned activity. More info on that later.
Saturday, Jun 10, 9:00 A.M. Full breakfast provided by your hosts. After breakfast, we will have a Dogwood business meeting.
Saturday afternoon is free time.
Saturday, June 10, 4:00 P.M. Depart for dinner and show at Bird in Hand Restaurant and Theater. (Link to Bird In Hand.) We have reserved 30 seats for dinner and show. The show “Ryan and Friends” is a comedy and includes Ryan and his ventriloquist friends and has very good reviews. Dinner around 4:30 P.M. and show at 7:00 P.M. The cost is $58.70 per person and includes dinner, desert, beverages, service fee, gratuity, and the show. If you plan on attending, you must include the cost along with your rally registration fees with your registration form as we must provide a final count along with payment to Bird in Hand by May 10, 2023. For anyone choosing not to attend this activity, (hopefully none), there will be no dinner offered by the hosts that evening, so you would be on your own for dinner.
Sunday, June 11, 9:00 A.M. Continental Breakfast provided by your hosts and farewell.
Note: We have the pavilion reserved for all day Sunday, and the last planned meal is breakfast. However, we expect that many of the attendees will stay over until at least Monday. If that is the case, we can always get together Sunday afternoon/evening for pizza or something.
