Mr. B’s 2026 Spring Music Spectacular

Third Call for Mr. B’s 2026 Spring Music Spectacular

Hello Dogwood Folks! This is third call for the upcoming Mr. B’s Bluegrass Spectacular on 30 April – 3 May 2026.  Ms. Billy Sue Goff (Concert Manager and good friend) has set aside 10 spots for us – all together. If more sign up, that’s fine, you just might not be right next door to us. But that’s OK because the campground is easily crossed in minutes from wherever you get parked.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1.  Bring four chairs, two to set up and leave in front of the stage for the weekend and two for the dining tables at our campsite.

2.  To each meal, please bring your own plates, napkins, utensils, and drinks (except for juice and the alcohol offering). For folks new to Dogwood, this is a common practice for our rallies.

On Wednesday evening (April 29th for you early arrivers) we are doing a potluck supper; Jean and I will bring fried chicken for all. Feel free to bring a side or dessert to go with it.  We are finalizing the meal plans and I think you’re going to like the brunch menu. Brunches for the next three days will be as follows:

Thursday morning, 9:30 am - Tequila Sunrises, with

·     Quiches

·     Sausage Links

·     Potatoes & onions

·     Fruit bowl, & Juices

Friday morning, 9:30 am – Bloody Marys, with

·     Pancakes

·     Bacon, syrup, butter

·     Eggs to order

·     Oranges & Juices

Saturday morning, 9:30 am – Margaritas, with

·     Make your own burrito breakfast with Tortillas and

·     Scrambled eggs

·     Ground sausage

·     Cheese, Sour cream

·     Spanish rice, onions & peppers

·     Juices & Fruit

So if you haven’t already, please call Ms. Billy Sue Goff at 757-660-8904 and get your reservation in for the festival. Tell her you are with Dogwood and see the Dogwood Blog Site for details, show list and directions – we hope to see you there!

Dogwood 30th Anniversary Rally

1996 ~ FRVA Dogwood Chapter ~ 2026

UPDATED 3/20/2026

Hello Dogwood Family, hope all is well.

In February, we announced the dates and location for the Dogwood 30th Anniversary rally. Since that time we have coordinated with the campground and are now providing Dogwood members with additional information about the rally.

Rally Location:    Rockahock Campground

                             1428 Outpost Road

                             Lanexa, VA 23089

                             804 966-8362

Rally Dates: Thursday, July 23 - Sunday, July 26, 2026

We have reserved 34 sites at Rockahock and they have now been released to Dogwood. If you want to arrive early or stay later, you may do so as long as the site is available. We would suggest that you make your reservation as soon as possible as we are expecting a good turnout. If you have a problem contacting the campground, leave a message and they will return your call. Sites are as follows:

Standard sites 402-404 and 406-427

Sites are $62.00 + tax nightly Sun-Thur and $72.00 + tax nightly Fri-Sat.

Standard sites are close to pavilion, on gravel and pull-thru, FHU 50A.

Patio sites 463-467 and 469-472

Sites are $72.00 + tax nightly Sun-Thur and $82.00 + tax nightly Fri-Sat.

Sites are not as close to pavilion, have a concrete patio and are back-in, FHU 50A.

They also have Deluxe sites for $82/$92.00 per night. These sites are asphalt back-in and are available, but we do not have any reserved.

NOTES:

·      There is a 10% discount for Military and First Responders.

·      When you make your reservation, let them know that you are with the Dogwood 30th Anniversary Group.

We also have the Pavilion reserved from Thursday morning until Sunday evening at no cost as long as we have at least 15 coaches, and that should not be a problem.

The campground asks the following:

1.    The Group will respect all campground property and leave areas as found.

2.    The Group will obey campground rules, regulations and policies, and will comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding alcoholic beverages, firearms, fireworks, and the dumping of waste water on the ground.

3.    Fishing Barge - Individuals who fish should hold a valid Virginia fishing license or temporary permit. (Available online.)

As we get closer to the date of the rally, we will be sending out additional information on meals, rally fees, activities, etc that we are planning. Plan on attending as it is going to be a great rally. You won't be disappointed.

Safe travels and we will see you in July.
