Tickets for camping and music can be had by calling Ms. Billie Sue Goff (personal friend of Ed & Jean and General Manager of the event) at757-660-8904. Please tell her that you are part of, or coming in with, the Dogwood RV club.
Your hosts, Jean and Ed Herbert, will provide brunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings before the bands start. Speaking of bands, there are 15 bands scheduled over the three days with music workshops and jamming sessions tucked in between! The music starts on Thursday at noon, while on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 am. Then it runs until 10:00 every night. No dinner breaks appear on the schedule, but there is a nice little cafe in the big pavilion behind the stage, and sometimes someone in our club will offer up dinner. Most importantly, bring your comfy lawn chairs; set them up at the start of the concert and leave them there until the end (or move them around as needed); but nobody will bother your chairs – this is, after all, a traditional bluegrass festival! Come and go as you please.
The Park gates open on Sunday, 4/28, but we (Jean and Ed) will roll in on Wednesday, 5/1, to set up. Please consider joining us then. Brunch on Thursday, 5/2, will be at 10:00 am; brunch on Friday and Saturday will be at 9:00 am. Margaritas may be served...Please complete the Registration Form below; rally costs will be $20 per person. Please send the registration to Jean Herbert along with a check made out to Jean (Not Dogwood!)
So, 1) call Ms. Bille Sue Goff at 757-660-8904 to get your site and tickets, 2) fill out the registration form and mail it with a check to Jean, 3) pack your special lawn chairs, plus chairs to sit on for the brunch, and finally, 4) pack any musical instrument (except pianos and tubas) you can play. Questions? Call Jean at 540-760-4181, or Ed at 540-760-4180.
See you there!
